Still Aware was founded in 2014 by Claire Foord following the loss of her and and her husband Brad's precious baby, Alfie Foord-Heath, on 14 12th February 2014.
Alfie’s death came without warning and without answers. Like many families, Claire and Brad experienced the shock, grief, and isolation that can follow stillbirth. In the midst of that loss, they recognised how little accessible information existed around prevention, the importance of monitoring movements and risk awareness.
From this devastating experience, Still Aware was created with a clear purpose: to ensure that families are better informed, better supported, and empowered with practical knowledge that may help prevent avoidable loss.
What began as one mother’s response to tragedy has grown into a national movement committed to ending preventable stillbirth through education and awareness.
